We run several well established Open competitions through the year for Men, Women, Mixed, Seniors and Juniors.
Craigmillar Park Amateur Open
We host this prestigious WAGR Order of Merit scratch event each April. Entries are restricted to low handicap players (usually Handicap Index of 3 or less).
This year marks the 50th Anniversary of Sir Nick Faldo winning the Craigmillar Park Amateur Open in 1976. Sir Nick celebrated his victory by turning professional the next day, going on to become one of the all time great European golfers with a glittering career including 3 US Masters victories and winning The Open at the Old Course and twice at Muirfield.
For our regular open competitions, whether you are scratch or high-handicaper enjoy a great day out, and excellent company on a challenging course with fantastic views across the city of Edinburgh, and over to Fife and East Lothian.
Buggy hire is available should you require a little help to get around the course. (Medical Exemption Certificate required for competitions.)
Catering & refreshments are available in the clubhouse on the day of each Open.
